Some things happened at work (again) that triggered my anxiety.  I do so hope they can be resolved today so that I don't worry about them all through the four day holiday weekend.  I am feeling the worst anxiety I have felt in months.  I will take my anxiety rescue med (Zyprexa) and plan to nap at lunch.  If I have to, I can take an hour of sick leave and nap for longer.  Say a little prayer for me that things get resolved.

Georgie Girl: I will pray for you. Anxiety triggers at work can be especially devastating due to feeling 'trapped.' It sounds like you have a strategy with the naps and Zyprexa. That is wonderful because it helps you feel back in control.

Georgie Girl,

Here is the link for the MoodGYM online CBT program.

Please take a look at it and give it a try.  It is free and I think you can learn a lot.  I am going through the program now.

I hope your anxiety lessens and please do remember to breathe.

Happy Holidays to you

Hey the other GG :)

I think you have a great plan of action also. I'm having a day at it myself :) Definitely look into MoodGYM as suggested by Kitt because it is a great FREE online resource for CBT :) I went through it and it helped a lot!

Have a Wonderful Holiday Season!

I sure hope your day gets better! You know, it's not the stress that gets us. It's how we react to stress that causes problems. Easy to say, huh? Try not to worry about work problems. It's difficult but with practice you will be able to relieve some of the negative feelings. Send out some resumes. That will make you feel better, too. Carol

Thanks for everyone's best wishes.  The issue did turn out alright, as usually happens.  I just have so much anticipatory anxiety about work issues.    The Christmas weekend will be great (unless I develop some more anticipatory anxiety between now and 11:30 a.m. when we are being released early for Christmas Eve).
