Exposure to a certain level of germs is good for you- can be beneficial in maintaining your immune system. I personally have NO issue with germs.
back when i was still nursing, many of my patients were having Radio or Chemo and my biggest concern was MY germs infecting them, but like all good nurses, used universal precautions- gowns, gloves, masks etc.
Now ive switched careers and am a high school teacher in a fairly run down, unpleasant area, and i keep tissues, hand sanitiser and vicks cough lollies on my desk cos the kids get no education about germ etiquette at home, and as my immune system is virtually non existant i cant afford to get ill every time a kid coughs, or wipes his nose on his sleeve.
otherwise, germs dont phase me one bit- a little bit is fine
