Morning Family, todays question:
"What dietary changes could you make to improve your overall health?"
For me, i need to force myself to drink 8 glasses of water a day, so bad toxins get flushed out and i need to eat more RAW fruit and veg and less processed and refined sugars, cos sugar affects my battered immune system, and cut back on dairy for my sinuses.
How about you?

Age:28. AP first DX @ 10. Fibro etc DX @14. Proud Aussie.

At the moment...It would be just to eat! I seem to have lost my appetite. I am using heaps & heaps of vitamins and suppliments many! lol. Gillxx

Eat vegetables, fruits, whole grains and take vitamins instead of my most unhealthy diet of junk food, fried foods, white bread and all the other unhealthy stuff I eat.  I have a horrible diet and I know I should change it completely but just haven't done it.  Every once in a while I think about it and buy some bananas and celery and carrots at the grocery store and eat them for a week or so and then go back to my old ways.  I know, I know it is bad but I just don't like veggies and can't stand whole wheat or whole grain breads and stuff.  No excuses.  I just don't eat right.  I know exactly what I should do but don't.  I'm so bad.

Anxiety 2007; IBS 2004; Chronic Hives 2002.  Medications:  Allegra, Zantac, Xanax, Darvocet.

I have Crohns disease and live on a low residue diet. If I didn't eat this way I would be seriously ill.

Been living with Crohn's Disease for 33 years. Currently on Asacol, Prilosec, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain, Zofran, Phenergan, Probiotics, and Calcium and Xanax as needed. Resections in 2002 and 2005. Also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Osteoarthritis and Anxiety. Currently my Crohns is in remission.

Just out of curiousity....does a/p effect our immune system in any way. I work security(bouncer) at a really big country dance bar thats always filled with smoke and I stay sick all the time. always starts as a sinus problem and then moves to my chest and I wind up coughing my butt off for the next 4 or 5 days. I tale vitamin supplements every day. I take C and a B super complex butt I still wind up getting sick every couple of weeks. Should I just find a job that aint so smoky?

Reseach does show that second hand ppl
dealing with cig cigar smoke can develope many illnesses from it
Try the Google at top the search engine and I am sure you will come up with quite a few
posts from prior times that may be of help as well

A healthy diet is also paramount to keeping yourslef in better sahpe
When I am in an anxity mmode or stessed out
I ahve in the PAST gone for days w/o eating or drinking anything

I went to 88lbs and was told by family doc if i had not gained any weith withing a short time I was going to be tube fed...........Done that and it is not nice at all at all for anyone

Like Nanners I have crohns and I have t watch my food intake or I PAY for it dearly

*** I now am eating small plates of food a few times a day and have gained the weight and feel so much better
W/o the proper amount of water and fluids your electrlytes potassium and the rest will or could drop to levels that can cause seros problems

Now that you definitely know what your issue is and problems are with eating healthy .........
TRY going to shopping store and limit self to stuff like fruits, cukes ,grapes
When laying on the bed with laptop sweety keep your snack or junkfoods out of reach of you .....write a daily journal of what you have and be totally honest with self........... turn
Try this for a week do a journal ........NO take out nono and only healthy food
THERE will be a big difference in you hun............
Making a lil plate of GOOD foods is very easy and something cait just loves'She will have cukes on there pickles and peppers as well as bananas and a tangerine
Her meat would consist of the Peanut butter on crackers lol
Sometimes she does like a meat and cheeses plate with those lil tomatoes
Sh is a very good size for her age and very concious abut what goes into her mouth

I definitely need to be eating more raw fruits and vegatables myself too, and start walking more. I kind of make the excuse of my chores being enough exercise, but I don't think it is the same as actually steadily getting my heart rate up with exercise. It is kind of hard at times, because if I spend to much time on my right let, it hurts really bad that night and the next day with my hip and knee.

I will get there :) I've made plenty of changes and it takes time :)
