hey all i did most of the talking about my mri in the health anxiety thread but i thought i would make a thread of its own for the results. hope thats not a problem.

well what a day ! went to the neuoroligist this morning at 9 and he came into the office and asked how i was..i said a little anxious.he looked at me funny and then said the eeg test made you nervouse ? i said a little .. i was a bit confused as what he was getting at,maybe my heart rate on the test was up..idk any way thats what i was thinking.

he continued on and said it came back normal and he was gonna refer me back to my general dr to deal with my migrians . im like ok...he then shuts the folder with all my info in it and i ask,so how was my mri...he then looks at me and says..we didnt talk about that yet ? im like no ! the dude didnt even know why i was there. i was dumb founded... he looks through the whole folder and finds no test results so no im starting to get a little pissed. he tells me to hang on and he will be rite back.

he pops his head in the door and tells me that the place i had it done at will be faxing over the results and he doubts anything showed up as they usually call him if something i wait like 5 minutes and he comes back in and tells me everything was ok.brain is good. FEWWWW!

he said my sisnuses did show some enlargement of the mucas membrane though but he said that happens to alot of people around here. so being the hyprocondriact that iam i asked again, no tumors ? he said nope and starting getting up to end the visit.i felt cut off.didnt really get any answers on how to deal with the problems i have but i guess in the end its good news to me that nothing is worng with my brain.

i dont want to come off ungrateful but is it me or is this bad practice on behalf of the dr ? i guess it doesn't matter im just happy. then part of me started thinking that with the way he dealt with it maybe he didn't even really know id he had the rite results.....

but...iam gonna try and turn a new leaf, try not to worry about all this crap anymore...i mean today i felt all wierd and stuff and just realized in all the confusion i forgot to take my meds..

i am sorry i ranted a little, thats gonna be a thing of the past, i hope. i just wanted to share today with all of you.

Kick the "stinkin thinkin" to the curb my friend. Your test was negative for a tumor..........he did say he was referring you back to your own PCP as he feels you checked out fine neuro wise so do not dwell on his bedside manner.  I am sure he had the right results.

He also had a good point, if something serious shows on  a test the physician usually receives a phone call from the  physician reading the test results.

I am not saying that things are perfect in the world of medicine but in your case it does sound like your results were good.

I am glad to hear you say you are going to fight off the anxiety so know we are here to support you.

Wooo Hooo George!!!

That is great news my friend. I am sorry about the doc's bedside manner, but that is how it goes. At least you are okay on this level :) You keep fighting your anxiety, and like Kitt said, we are here for you! I am working on my health anxiety too, and am slowly making my baby steps back to me again :)

Take care and have a more stress free weekend bud :)
