I just posted this in my old thread below, but I wanted to ask in a new thread....
I am pretty freaked out at the moment.

when I take .25 clonazepam in the morning, it is making me feel reaaaally depressed...

I asked my Nurse and she said I could take .125 in the am and .125 in the evening.

I am so scared by all this.

Currently I am taking:

6.5 Paxil (no longer working, trying to get off it)
.25 Clonazepam (takes away the anxiety but makes me feel depressed)

Lunch: 1 a day vitamin and 1000 mg of fish oil

Dinner: 2.5 Lexapro (only 3 days into it)

I feel horribly depressed in the first part of the day and then it lightens up by the afternoon and evening.

Do you guys think I should cut my .25 (been on for 3 weeks now) of Clonazepam in half and take part in the am and part in the evening?

I would like to just take half in the morning and let that be it, but since I am just starting the transition to Lexapro, I don't think I should try to taper off Clonazepam just yet.

Any advice? Anyone else felt depressed by Clonazepam? I did ok with it for about 3 weeks and suddenly started feeling this when taking it in the morning.

need help!

Personally I like the Clonazepam b/c it is longer lasting than some other benzos.  I didnt have any bad effects from it

The depressed feelings you have now might be just initial side effects of the drug but I really cant be of much more help.

I like Clonzepam as well, and you should talk to your doc about this because it would not take much to switch from that low of a dose to something else!

I hope you get to feeling better & good luck :)

I've never felt anymore depressed taking Clonazepam than I usually was... It did cause me to shake really bad, though... And I agree with Green Grove... ya oughtta talk to your doctor...
I think I am being picked on by life, sometimes. But's that okay. Life and I are good buddies... I know life doesn't mean no harm. It just is the way it is. I can accept that.

Well, I was on Xanax .25 for about 3 weeks and the same thing happened....I felt great when I started taking it but as time went on, I started feeling low....
switched to Clonaz. and felt pretty good for a while, but within about 2.5 weeks of taking it, felt the depression.
(I am normally just really anxious, not depressed).
So it helped get rid of my anxiety but ugh, the heavieness I feel for hours is awful.
It's been about 12 hours since I took it and I feel SO much lighter and "normal".
I wonder if I could switch to taking it at night instead.
Oh and I emailed my psch nurse and asked what she thought, I was just wondering if anyone on here had any experience with this.
