This forum is great with people giving great advice... the question is...
Why can we not give the same advice to ourselves as we would to our friends with our same symptoms?

Diagnosis Oct 07 and then Aug 08: Inditerminate Patchy Colitis. Also suffer from Peptic Ulcers could be related to Asacol. Current Medication: 500mg Asacol Suppositories, 800mg Asacol Tablets x 2 a day.

I don't know that is a good question. I would think it's because when we are going through our symptoms's alot harder to recognize that it's not dangerous because when we are going through the symptoms ourselves, we are afraid that we are having a heart attack, or dying or whatever the case may be for that person. I'm sorry if some of that sounds a bit repetative but I haven't slept much and I'm very tired. Thanks for understanding.

I also do not know the answer to that question............ I feel the same way as you do.  Why can I not help myself when the anxiety strikes?  I also have MDD so I have a double problem as I never know which came first the anxiety and then the feelings of depression or the depression is causing me to feel anxious?

It is the same old question, " Why do bad thing happen to good people?"

When we find the answer to this question we should all be cured. :-)

Take care
