Hi guys- lets look at some positives. todays challenge is to remember:
What is your first, positive childhood memory?
mine is my 3rd birthday. I remember red balloons, i got a kite and a goldfish and a doll and my cake was a banana cake. i remember playing at my grandparents house with cousins. we learnt to fly the kite that day. i felt loved and safe. life was sweet, so im trying to focus on positives and give less time to the negatives.
How bout you?

Oh im 2 years old im pushing a tractor down the banisters of some stairs and my mum is doing the ironing in the hallway. Particulary poignant as its the only memory i have of my mum being normal.

Another early memory is when a goat escaped and started eating my next door neighbours washing, it was really surreal for a 2 year old to see an animal eating clothes.

When I was 7, I got my first kiss from a girl that I liked.  I was pretending to sleep next to her on a chair and she gave me kiss.
When I was 11, I had my first girl friend.  This was during summer camp when I cleaned up toys with a girl I liked.  I told her that I liked her and we became boyfriend and girlfriend.  Boy was that weird.  "Mom, guess what? I got a girl friend today."   My mom was speechless and didn't know how to react. ****

I remember my Dad bringing me home a treat after he got off work each day.  It was always an apple or a bananna. Sometimes a Hershey Bar.  He was a great man and I think I was probably 3 years old.

First keep in mind this was 30 years ago!

We used to live in a field surrounded by cotton and chili. My grandpa owned the land and was a huge farmer back then. The house we lived in belonged to him and was nothing more then a workers quaters. 2 bedrooms with a garage we were not allowed to enter. Because of the insulation not being covered.

Anyway my brother and I had a friend. She was a ghost that lived in our closet. We would spend nights talking with her. To prove to my mom she actually was real. She gave either me or my brother a very old, VERY OLD broach. And we gave it to mom. Mom put it in her jewlery box for safe keeping. Well our "friend" said it was proof enough and took it back. It was never seen again.

To this day my 36 year old brother can NOT sleep with the closet door open. And wonders if she will ever return.

Everytime I think about this event I get the chills. It was really strange that this would happen to us. I was 3 and my brother was 5. Since then I've only encountered one other spirit and she was in the house we moved into. She had lost her frog stuffed animal and asked me where it was. I showed her, she took it and never returned. The little girl was about my age at the time. 6.

I know strange and very hard to believe. But since this event. I can sense when spirits are around. I have refused to walk into a home my brother used to live in. Someone had died there and he was not a happy man. I get the chills and feel very uncomfortable.
Ugg, the creepies are back.. lol

but I think its a gift and has been an influence on me for many many years.

I remember sitting behind a chair in the livingroom and sharing my icecream with Gypsy, the family dog. I loved her so much! I got in trouble for that but it was worth it.
