ugh as many of you know my attacks take on all the symptoms of a heart attack. Took a med when I felt one coming on today but still feeling awful. The nausea is one of the newer things to happen and it really freaks me out. For women that is one of the signs of a heart attack . So here's my problem how do I know when not to dismiss things thinking they are just my panic happening?  I just hate these things and get soooo frustrated. Anyone have any advice or actually had a heart attack that would chat with me....HELP!!!

If I remember correctly your attacks start about 9 years ago.

Anxiety can mimic any symptom, particularly because anxiety does have physical components and tachycadia is one of them, others are shortness of breath, chest pains, lightheadeness and tremors. If you don't have structural damage to your heart, is not a heart disease and you can't die from anxiety.

If you continue to have concerns please do seek a medical consult as we are not physicians and you must make the judgement call.

What have you been doing to try to control your anxiety?

Therapy is always a good treatment.

Take care,
