Well when I first developed anxiety I considered it to be acute anxiety. But thru therapy and the occasional Xanax I am now able better to handle it. Take the Xanax it will help to quiet things down. Not all medications work for all, so if you find the Xanax doesn't work well for you, there are always other meds to try. But I personally have had great success with Xanax. Good luck!
