I just got home from a peprally at my old high school. While I was there I began to realize how much I miss High school. My life was so organized and I never felt like anything bad could truly happen to me. I also had the support of everyone around me. I went to a small high school so everyone knew everyone. I was constantly getting compliments from friends and other students and teachers and felt like everything was fantastic. My self asteem was really high all the time, and I knew everyday that I would be learning something about life. However, I had a bad case of senioritis last year and could not WAIT to graduate! I loved being out of high school untill about a month ago when I began to have panic attacks and before that I was always exhausted and just not quite right because I didnt know what I truly wanted to do with my life and got frustrated over college all the time. When i started having panic attacks, my mom told me to drop out and to try and relax for a semester and get everything straightened out. Now, Im bored without school, and sad without learning. However, after the peprally today I realized that I just need to learn to adjust to my new life and there truly isnt anything wrong with me. I just need to get used to the changes of not having everything perfectly organized. Anyways I hope that this helps out other people around my age into figuring out why they might be stressed and how they can try and turn it around. This is also a link to a site that made me feel so much better. The comments people left were very encouraging Theres no actual medical advice or anything like that. Its just an encouraging post that I found :D

Well if you think you're starved for learning you can easily remedy that yourself. Find out what courses you're going to take next, go ahead and get the textbooks and other required reading if you can. Get a jump on things. Do this for the classes you enjoy and you'll get more out of the lectures.

I had a hard time after high school, too. Didn't have the money to go to college right away and it caused me to make some bad decisions.

Don't forget that you can audit a lot of courses, too, if you're enrolled somewhere which it sounds like you are.

Thank you so much!! I never really though about getting books ahead of time, but I really think it would help me to focus, not be bored, and get my mind off of my obsessive thoughts.

I truly appreciate your advice :D
