First time to this site and gald to have found it.  First I work full-time, have a family, and go to school full-time.  Many things have change.  I use to exercise a lot, but work and school cut that out.
Sept 24th this year, I started to swell up behind my ear.  I thought something had bit me unitl the next day the swelling move to the top part of my thumb.  Since then it has been, my knees, elbow, wrist, hip, and the worst of all lips, top and bottom.  These are just a few areas.
A couple of weeks after the swellings I started to get bad heartburn at work.  It was so bad it had me on my knees on the floor bent over.  I have never in my life had this before.  I did take an allergy test, not allergic to any foods. I do have regular seasonal allergies, no biggie.    I have been to three different Dr's. I am taking something for heartburn, XYZAL, predisone and I hate this drug it makes my knees and ankles swell, water retention, but it keeps everything else down.  I have been moody, depressed.  I don't know if it's stress causing the swelling or what.  However,  I did have a panic attack the night class started trying to figure out why I took on such a load.  I'm really frustrated, I don't know what else to do.  I have been tested for Lupus, negative, Ulcers, negative.  I have more blood test Monday.  Has anyone ever heard of this.  Need advice, help please.  smhair

Hi there, Welcome to HealingWell.  Your sx could well be anxiety related but I think it is important to continue to follow up with the physicians.

Have you ever been tested for Scleroderma or Lymes?  You have a mixed bag of sx so I can see where it is tough to decide which way to look for the cause.

I am not a physician so I am just tossing out a couple of things that come to mind however your sx are atypical.

Can anxiety do this, IMHO yes the mind is a powerful thing and the physical sx can be just about anything.

I hope you are able to back off a bit on all the demands on your life and put your health first.

Again a warm welcome to HealingWell.
