Had new PDoc appt.on Friday, nearing crawled into his office, been feeling very bad lately and exhausted from fighting it! DX, BPI, meds MD had me on were making me worse. Old PDoc had hinted at this, but he was a very passive Dr., new PDoc very aggressive (not in a bad way) started me on new med, which is a new med on the market Saphris, starting Lamictal in 3 weeks. I feel like the weight of the world has been lifted off of my shoulders, just knowing. Starting counseling in December 2 to 6 sessions. It has been a wild ride lately, all the ups and downs. Well, on to make lifestyle adjustments (major ones) and be as well as I can be.

Hope today is a good one for all. Thanks to everyone for their support, talk to you soon.

Dear Gem,

I am proud of you for getting in to see the new Pdoc and it does sound like he is very good at what he does so I hope you can find a trust relationship with this person.

Do I understand you correctly, you were dx with Bipolar I ? We have a great Bipolar forum that I hope you will visit and talk with some of the members in that forum too.

Your new meds sound spot on so I am very happy for you that you now have a working dx and from here it is only moving forward to get your disorder under control.

I find therapy to be a good thing and even when I am feeling low just talking about it helps.

Gem, you are an inspiration, a wonderful person and I feel blessed to have you as a peer here in the A & P Forum. You are appreciated.

Gentle Hugs,

Kitt and Nanners,

Thanks so much for the kind words. Yes Bipolar 1. When I go back to the Dr. in 3 weeks, we are going to discuss taking me out of work for a while to get stable, etc. because work has been so unbearable for me for so long. I pay for Long and short term disability, yet I am already dreading talking to my employer about this. I feel like I do not deserve it or something, or they will be really mad at me, I don't know. Isn't that ridiculous? Lots of things to sort out. I am really looking forward to therapy, I really need it. I have pushed through this for so long on my own because I just would not accept that something was that seriously wrong.

Thanks again, I will be posting again soon.
