I have been on Zoloft successfully for over 4 years.  A low dose of 50mg/day.  My anxiety symptoms creep up now and again but no full blown attacks in some time.
My doctor recently suggested increasing the dose slightly since I was showing some early signs of depression.  I increased to 75mg this past Saturday.  Last night I had a full blown attack, waking me up at 4am.  How it happens that I wake up to it, I will never understand.
I used to have Ativan on hand for "emergencies" but it has been so long since I have needed it, I know longer have it.
Has anyone experienced an increase or return of symptoms as a result of "changing" a dose?

I have had anxiety return with dose changes as well as some of the meds causing anxiety. Fine tuning meds may be very difficult for some and others do fine with changes in doses or switching to new meds.

I hope you do well.

HI sp1 i believe that is normal because when ever my PDoc changes my meds or up the dosage, for a couple of weeks or so i do experience more severe PA than normal. I asked my Pdoc about it and she said that is your body adjusting to the new dosage or new med. It's just like when the doctor tells you when you first start a new medciation that you may experience an array of side effects for the first couple of weeks then once your body adjust to it you feel better. But they also say if the side effects are too bad then you need to talk to your doctor. You metioned waking up to PA,i do that sometimes too and i dont understand it either but waking up to one is the worst because usually i'm afraid to go back to sleep.
