I got up this morning to take my daughter to daycare and on the way back I started to feel very sick to my stomach! I pulled over once but nothing. Once I got home I kept "almost" throwing up but not quite. I got diahrea (sp?). Then just a few mins ago I did throw up. I think the diareaa is from my nerves bc I am having a HUGE panic attack right now! Level 10!!!!!!!!!
I'm trying to calm my nerves by thinking that its probably just bc I've been sick with a cold and coughing up mucus, but some of it probably got in my stomach while I was sleeping. Then I got up and (this is where my fionce says I went wrong) without eating anything, I took 1000 mgs of vitamin C and 50 mgs of zinc. He said thats probably it. I probably tore up my stomach bc I didnt eat first. I'm hoping he is right! I'm not throwing up now but still neauseated. I think maybe I'm feeling that way now is nerves. I dont feel like I'm going to throw up so much as I did before but I have a fear of illness associated with throwing up. Its such a terrible feeling! I got sick not to long ago where I couldnt go 10 minutes without throwing up and the ER ppl gave me all the phenegrin they could and I was still throwing up when they sent me home. I was sick for days! I'm TERRIFIED of that happening again!
Do you think this could just be the taking 1000 mgs of vitamin C and 50 of Zinc on an empty stomach?
I'll be in the chat room for a little bit in case somebody is willing to chat. I'm really panicky so I might be in and out. Oh goodness! I'm so level 10 panicked!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Jen,

Stop the anxiety now.................look back at some of the threads that have offered ways to stop anxiety in it's tracks.

Try the breathing exercise.
Focus on your breathing. Take a couple of dozen belly breaths and just focus your mind on your inhaling and exhaling.

Leave the past in the past and let the future take care of itself. don't over-think what is going on. Just look around you and see where you are and know you are ok.

Gentle Hugs,

Yes, you upset your stomach by taking the Vit C and Zinc on a empty stomach. Take a deep breath, it will be out of your system soon. You have done this in the past (taken meds on empty stomach), you will be fine.

from past experience for myself I know that taking any medication on an empty stomach makes me sick....try to eat a little something and then take your vitm. Make sure to drink water to stay hydrated. Vitm C is a strong one and on an empty stomach it can be weird. Try to relax and take some relaxing deep breaths and sit in a favorit chair and maybe some favorit tea to help calm you down. just some thoughts. Linx.....

panic attacks in themselves will cause your body to want to evacuate. i know it all to well. also to much vitamin C will not help your stomach.

i hope you get around this. good luck.

Thanks everyone. I didn't have anymore problems with throwing up after that yesterday. It was just the vitamin C and Zinc I guess. Really what I was so upset about is how sick I was before. A few months ago I had the worst stomach virus ever and nothing would help it! I thought I was going to die! I'm just really scared of that happening again! Plus theres the thought, "What could this be"? Just some unknown reason your throwing up. "Whats going to happen to me"? I hate how our thoughts do that! Glad to know its NORMAL for anxiety suffers. Also that I can work on it. Its just hard. Thanks again!

Glad your feeling better today.  Just remember to "kick the anxiety to the curb"  when it rears it's ugly head and stay in the moment.
Happy New Year to you,
