I have lost the source you gave me about when to go to the emergency room.  Can you please post it again? Thanks!
I think it was from JAHCO or something like that?

Hey Navy,

Was it this one?

IMHO, if you think you need to go to the ER for a medical screening exam then do so. The ER physician will decide if you have a true emergency when you are in doubt.

Pain is a symptom, but can often be the presenting chief complaint for many patients in the emergency department. Although the disease or condition causing the pain may not be within the realm of the emergency physician to definitively manage or even in some cases diagnose, there still remains an expectation to treat the symptom.

Just some fyi.
