I have had panic attaches for most of my life. I have taken medicine off and on for them. I currently do not take medicine. I have also had the problem of not being able to swallow at times. Counseling has helped me a great deal. I also have some things I do that help me. One is I pull on my ear. This seems to help for some reason. I also tell myself to knock it off that I am fine. For me I have started forcing myself to do things, Like to go anyplace out of my save area is horrible. The other day I had to pick my daughter up by myself. I cried all the way there but I made it. Just remember you are the only one that can make you happy or change your life. Family support is also important for me. I hope this helps.

Hello and welcome to HealingWell. We are a peer support group and will do our best to help you.

I would like to see you in therapy as your problems seem to be escalating and I think a good therapist combined with perhaps a change in meds may be called for right now.

Please do make an appointment for a medical screening exam to make sure nothing else is going on. I know you said you were scoped and I assume that was to rule out GERD or reflux disease which could cause some of your sx.

One of the best remedies for anxiety is to talk about it. Here's where good friends and family can come in. The old adage "A problem shared is a problem halved".</B>

I hope you continue to keep on talking with us. You are an important person in the big scheme of things so know we are all in this together.

Gentle Hugs,
