I have heard exercise would be great for ppl suffering from anxiety. However i am terribly afraid to move anywhere, yet alone to workout or anything.

Maybe it is because i still don't believe i am physically healthy so i fear any extra strain on my body might kill me. Any similiar experiences? Would be nice to know how to get over it...

Good Morning, may I suggest walking which you do daily on a needed basis. Just start out slow and walk a block the first day and gradually increase your exercise using walking.

All you need is a comfortable pair of shoes and leave your fears behind, walking will not harm you.

If you have a medical condition talk with your physician re an exercise program that is OK for you.

Take care,

I can relate! My New year's resolution is to get in better cardiac health. I just started doing cardio excercises for 15 minutes every other day. I know this is starting really small, but when my heart rate starts increasing I get anxious. I feel dizzy and my chest burns and I become afraid that I will just keil over and die. I know I'm in pretty good health though and I am trying to reprogram my thoughts so I can think "wow! That's great my heart rate is getting faster and I"m getting tired, I must be getting a good workout!". I am working out with a WII fitness program and hoping I will stay with it and maybe start to increase my endurance. Good luck with your goals. Maybe we could commiserate with each other. Today I am having some health anxiety because just when I convinced myself I shouldn't worry about my heart, I see a magazine at the grocery store with stories from women who had heart attacks at a young age. I will have to add "avoid reading magazines" to not googling symptoms. Geez, no place is safe anymore!

I have the same thing you are normal! Well as normal as we can be with this thing!I am about to buy a treadmill. This ia a huge deal as the last time I was on one it sent me into a huge attack! I have been working hard to get over this and well I'll let you know how it goes! In the past I have gotten triggered when my heart rate gets beating quickly so it has been alot for me to try to overcome. Good luck with yours and cross your fingers for me. xoxox
