Hello everyone, Just curious: Is it normal for anxiety sufferers to think about death more often than normal? I find myself intensely thinking about it multiple times daily. I can't remember the last time a day has passed without me experiencing "death thoughts". I have always been a person to fear death, but not to the point  where it overpowers any other thoughts and I feel as though I can't control them. I am by no means referring to suicide, but, just the fear of dying. (maybe it has something to do with the fact that anxiety attacks come sometimes feel as though you're dying??) Just wondered if this is normal, I feel like these thoughts are taking a negative toll on my life sad

I do not feel that thinking about death is unique to just people with anxiety but to people with other disorders too. People with chronic or serious illnesses, depression, or any of the mental health disorders may also think more about death then others.

Please do consider seeing a counselor and learn how to deal with your thoughts and feelings.

Take care,
