Just returned from the vacation I was so worried about
. Everything went well, no panic attacks. I was scared at times but then I just stayed in the moment. When we talked about
going and doing things that's when I would feel some anxiety starting but I reminded myself "I'm here for fun, I can worry when I get back home." I kept my med's near at all times, they are my security blanket. I did try to make myself miserable by thinking about
the "what if's" occasionally before I pushed those bad thoughts away and focused on the good. I didn't even get weird as we were stuck in bumper to bumper traffic during rush hour and a snow storm on our return home which took over 3 hours when under normal conditions takes 1 and a half hours.
Thanks for all your encouragement before I left. This helped me get control of my anxiety and have a great time.
