Hello and welcome,
I was going to ask about the CPAP machine. I am glad to read that your using it and are getting a good nights rest. So many people do not like the mask and stop using their machine.
Anxiety can be described as feelings of apprehension, nervousness, fear, and can sometimes bring on a panic attack. Alcohol induced anxiety caused by excessive drinking of alcohol has the same features and depression is also a part of this picture.
Alcohol affects our mood because it depletes serotonin in the brain. Serotonin, a feel good brain chemical, can cause anxiety and depression when in short supply.
I am glad you have a Dr. you can talk with and do be honest and up front re your feelings. We are here to support you so stick with us.
