Money can certainly cause its share of anxiety...it affects so many aspects of our lives...from where we live, to what we wear, right down to what we eat!
You are taking on double the responsibility, and therefore, double worry at the moment. While it is good of you to help your daughter, it is going to cause extra stress, as the trickle down effect hits your budget!
I have a few suggestions for you...do you and your daughter live close? If so, then going to a warehouse-type store and buying bulk and splitting up the packages of food could save you some money. Also you could cook big, inexpensive meals and divide them up between you, rather than giving the money out directly for your daughter's groceries...
As far as asking for assistance, if you are a church attendant...often there is a ministry fund for emergency things such as an unexpected illness. Could you ask about
Perhaps the pharmacy has a payment plan for Rx? Sometimes if you don't have insurance, there is such a program...it doesn't hurt to ask!
