Many members here can recommend either Joe Barry's Panic Away course or The Linden Method to you...you can even do a search on the subject here in the forums to read more about it!
Everyone experiences anxiety in different ways. All I can say is - when anxious you can't seem to focus on anything else outside of yourself and your own feelings.
We all get locked into fear at some time in our lives, but due to personal circumstances, the time you are locked in varies. With some people it might be fear of exams, which when over, goes away (until the next time). However, for others there might be time when these fears go on for a long time and therefore the brain registers it as a habit. Breaking a habit takes awhile, and you may need help.
Choosing one of these programs may be the right thing for you so compare them, research them and make your decision. I am a firm believer is using whatever tools are available to me to help me with my anxiety. Each person is different so what works for one is not always what works for another.
Keep posting with us. It is great to connect with others who understand what you are going through. We are here to listen and support you!
Talk to you soon, (and I am sure you will hear from others re: those programs)
