You know, for most people anxiety is a chronic condition. At the beginning of my journey, I was anxious pretty much all of the time following the onset of it.
Now, I can go months without feeling any acute feelings or symptoms...but I still have anxiety, and will most likely always have to manage it.
If your friend has found relief...that is great. Intensive treatment, such as a weekend program can certainly bring about
great improvement, however, I would wonder if it is indeed a 'cure'.
Keep working on your own recovery and treatment...things will get better! Accepting that it takes time, effort and maintenance will help you to see that anxiety is something that you can live with and have a handle on...and something that shows you just how strong and invincible you really are!;)
Talk to you soon.
