Are you being treated for anxiety? There are many non-addictive medications (SSRIs/SSNIs) that effectively treat anxiety. Anxiety will often exacerbate gastrointestinal distress. My suggestion is that you treat the anxiety in conjunction with your GERD symptoms. Talk with your physician. Keep in mind that both anxiety and GERD are treatable conditions. You can eventually find relief.
Perhaps a different med for your nausea - Zofran is one that is used a lot.
