So lately I have had some issues with breathing (which might be because of my anxiety or not) and because of this
i've been thinking a lot about possibly setting a day to quit smoking next week. Besides this, I can't afford to smoke at all. I smoke a lot (a pack a day, which is around 20 cigarettes). I am 20 and I have been smoking for five years now. I have tried to quit a few times before, but have not been successful yet. My anxiety is very severe, and right now I do not have much to do with my time and my living situation is very stressful. However, my smoking has really been affecting my health. I am just wondering, if I tried to quit smoking with severe anxiety, could quitting improve my anxiety (or would it make it worse) and how long would it take? Also, if I do try to quit, could I be successful despite stress at home, or should I wait until things are better/I move out? Every time i've started smoking again has been because of stress at home. I'm just getting tired of feeling unhealthy all of the time and know that my smoking is contributing to it.I have nothing to do with my time (smoking is pretty much all I ever do except go on the computer and watch tv), so i'm worried to quit. A few months ago I wanted to quit and bought stuff to help me quit (an electronic cigarette and nicotine inhaler) so that is what I would try using for quitting smoking.
