Hi all, I have an appt. next week and I know that they will bring up switching my meds. I have been on 1/2 doses of zoloft & buspar for about
3 years now. I don't notice any difference if I take a full dose so I've kept it at 1/2 twice a day. After reading what everyone has to say about
all of the different meds I'm kind of scared to try anything new. Any suggestions? I don't want to get hooked on anything!!!
Thank you to all. Peace out.

Hi Reepin,
Why do you think that your doc/therapist is going to suggest a change? Was this brought up before?
Your medical/mental health team should really come up with a plan for you, since you are under their care and they know your needs.
If you feel like daily maintenance is your biggest concern, then the SSRI and beta blocker sound like something that you will want to continue.
If panic is more of an issue, then you and your team could discuss the occasional use of a benzodiazapine. Uses responsibly, addiction should not be a problem for you.
I wish you the best. Perhaps a call to the professional that you will be seeing next week would be a good idea. This way you can ask what to expect in terms of them suggesting a change...and you won't be blindsided by it. You could even do some research on anything that they suggest...ahead of your appointment.
Best wishes with this...keep up posted.

When you increased the dose of your Zoloft, how long did you stick to that dose? I'm just curious because it takes some time to get into your system, and if you haven't given it more than a few weeks to level out, then maybe an increase will take care of it. You just have to give it time.
Good luck,
Fox
