So it has been 2 weeks on ciprlex today. For those that read my first thread the burning sensations are gone. The general not feeling well is gone, the constant tightness in the chest is gone. Most of the symptoms are gone although i now have the constant palpitations / pounding heart. Which for the most part i can cope with even tho its there and i hate feeling it all the time. Sometimes ill break into a mini panic attack or sometimes it'll get full blown and ill that a chlonezapam. Although im trying to stay away from having to take them because I don't wanna get dependent on it and have that be the only thing that makes me feel better. I know yesterday when I was at the mall getting my haircut I had a mini panic attack but i tried not to think about it and continued to walk around the mall. I went ate and eventually it went away. I have a doctors appointment next monday as well as counseling next monday for my anxiety so we will see what happpens then.

Awesome, you are a work in progress and things are looking better for you.  You have taken control and I am thrilled to know the medication is working for you.

Anxiety is a beast and likes to wax and wane so accept the mini-panics as just that and use your skills to tamp it down. I am pretty sure you will agree with me, unless you have been in our shoes it is hard for others to understand that anxiety is nasty and a tough personal struggle so be proud of how far you have come.

Kindly,

Kitt

Thank you. I am definitely proud of how far I have come. I've been dealing with this since I was 15 and am now 22. (When I was 15 I never thought I'd make it to this age cause of the anxiety) Then I learnt to accept it and just dealt with it. But every know and then it gets really bad where I have to start meds again. I'll just be glad when I get back to the point where it doesn't bother me as much! You are right Nobody truly understands what each and everyone of us goes through as anxiety is different for all of us. It's tough but it only means you are strong.
