Anyone else always so tired and no energy?  I know depression can cause this and my pdoc wants me to try wellbutrin but I'm kinda afraid to.

Yes, when I'm in a depression, I have NO energy and Lack of motivation. I try to talk myself into doing things. Sometimes that doesn't work. I write postive notes and Bible verses to read.

Hope you feel better.

Anxiety and depression can greatly affect our moods. You'll see many folks here write about the same thing. I know I've sure experienced it as well. Sometimes when it's really kicked up, I almost feel paralyzed with fear and anticipation.

Hi deborahscinder,

When my depression is really bad like it is now. I don't have any energy and I feel very tired. I know that it is a combination of the depression and the worse I feel the harder it is for me to sleep so that makes me really tired.

I posted previously about having anxiety about trying new meds. I thought I was the only one I don't know why I sometimes have a fear of having to try a new med. I guess I worry about if it will work or if it has side affects or causes new problems. Sometimes it helps me a little just to learn a little about what I'm taking and usually I can understand the way webmd breaks down information on meds.

Even though I don't do this, I'm working on it, it's also a good idea to talk to the doctor about the med if you scared or maybe share why you're scared and he can try to ease your fear or anxiety a little. I know each person may have their own reason why they are scared to try a new med.

So know that you aren't the only one you are not alone.

ds,

This is a problem for me when my depression or severe anxiety strikes.  With chemotherapy I am happy on days when I can get dressed and come here and sit in my office and talk with the members of HealingWell.

I will write down reminders for what I would like to accomplish each day and when things are really tough my reminders are truly basic:

1. Get up and make my bed.

2. Take shower and wash hair.

3. Eat  well balanced meals today

4. Spend time answering emails and working on HW ( 1-2 hours)

and the beat goes on..........................

These are the days my "Get up and Go" got up and went...without me! :-)

These are the days I cry and wish I could turn back the clock to a time when I never even thought about energy but ran from sunrise to sunset.

Letting go of the fact that I can not expect to feel that way ever again is sad but it is my reality so I look for the good in each day and give myself permission to shed some tears.

Thinking of you and hope your low mood lifts.

Blessings,

Kitt
