hi everyone , i need you guys help ... ok so its been a long road and after several attempts im on zoloft for 10 days so far 25mgs this is the longest i have been on any med , almost 2 yrs of trail and error ....so this is how im feeling ...

headache , tight band feeling , and like a buzzing tingling feeling ( which i before the zoloft )

tingling in my fingers and toes ( had it before the zoloft as well )

i feel strange

my chest feels , tight , hurt and aches ( which i had the chest issue before zoloft as well but it seems a little worst )

when does this start to work

my left arm aches and feel numb and tight

hard to focus , forget stuff

i have extra anxiety throughout the day

i have had so many test that i cant even name , test , procedures , etc , specialist , etc , my cardiac doc says my heart is fine , try to stick with the zoloft , my theripst and psych doc says the samething

my issue is why dont i feel better , its just one big cycle , and meds seem to not help at all , im ready to stop but trying to give it a chance but my chest shouldnt feel like this

should i be feeling this way

Anxiety is new for me, but I'm feeling a lot of the same feelings you are having. I was on Paxil for a week with terrible side effects for me. Now I'm on day 7 of Lexapro. I have had a dull headache the entire time and a weird burning sensation in my head. My body randomly tingles and feels numb and I have the heart pounding as well. Right now my chest is also tight. I know it's the anxiety but it's so hard to convince yourself during those anxious moments. This forum at least lets us know that we aren't alone :-)

Celexa, could NOT stand more than two days on the stuff, made me so sick, dizzy, could not think straight and the anxiety was still there. Very disappointing.

Now day 4 on Prozac, and the same symptoms, but a lot less. I can tolerate this... And NO fuzzy head. I could not run my business taking celexa. On this I can. That makes all the difference for me....

That's what seems to be the case for most people: Finding the drug that you can stand so you can take it for the month+ until it works. Or so it seems.

I hope you feel better SoiA...

SOIA.,

Try your best to hang in there. A week and a half is just not enough time for your body to have adjusted yet...so even though it feels like forever...try to give it a couple more weeks.

Most A/D SSRI/SNRI meds take several weeks to build up, level off in the system, and become theraputic.

Good job on hanging in there! Keep up the good work.;)

SOIA.,

Good Morning and know I am here for you.  I am glad you brought up your son - can you share with us how he is doing and where he is at with treatments, check ups ETC?

I know 2 years feels like forever as I am coming up on my 2 year anniversary of my cancer dx.  Being humans it takes us a long time to heal from such traumatic events in our lives and I know you have been pushed beyond the limits where most people would want to give up but here you are still talking with us and asking for help. I am here to support you and wish I had a magic answer re medications - time, patience and therapy will serve you best and having a good cry is good for your soul - it let's out your feelings of sadness and frustration.

"And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”

Keeping you in my prayers,

Kitt

I could not take Celexa, ended up in the ER with burning really bad in my neck and head. Switched to Lexapro and it was better, still some burning in head but gained to much weight on this. Now I have Xanax when needed but still have anxiety on a daily level. I hope you have better luck with the meds than I did. Everyone is different and what works for one wont for another. Hang in there and try until you find something that works. I'm still looking:)
