In a previous post I talked about
how Lexapro is giving me some pretty bad insomnia and anxiety middle of the night. Rapid thought and flashing colors. It is also making me sleep very shallow and miss out on a good deep REM sleep. I don't want to take Xanax at night to sleep through this so I'm looking at other alternatives.
I am thinking of changing up the time that I take this medicine.
I've been on Lexapro for about
three months now (10mg) and it seems to have settled into my system fairly well. Sleeping is the only big issue.
I don't want to be groggy or "medicated feeling" while I'm at work.
Do you think that I should take half a pill (5mg) first thing in the morning and then another half (5mg) right after I get home from work? Or should I just take the whole pill in the morning?
I'm thinking that if I take it right when waking that gives a few hours to set in before work and then if I take it right after work that gives it about
5-6 hours to do its thing before bed time. Would this help me escape the insomnia issues?
I guess my other question is , will taking a half dose at two different times during the day be less intense (meaning will the medicines effect feel less intense if split up)...?
I absolutely hate taking pills and feeling high or medicated.
Would certainly appreciate any suggestions! Thank you so much!
