I went to my doctor Wed to discuss my stress test results. While I was there, I mentioned my upper arm muscle soreness and joint pain. She said let's do a couple autoimmune tests just to be sure. The first, ESR, was negative. The second one, ANA was low positive. It basically measures auto antibodies to see if your body is attacking your own cells. It is pos in Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Scleroderma, Sjorgen's, BUT it can also be false positive or due to something else. 5% of the population has a positive in the range I did (1:160) without disease. Or, it can be many other things. Basically it doesn't tell you WHAT it is, just that it MIGHT be something. I sent my doctor a message after I received the results and never heard back. Now I have to wait ALL WEEKEND to see what I need to do next. I didn't get any sleep last night, I've got mounds and mounds of homework, and now this. I am at my breaking point. HELP!
