I have a mouth full of metal and crowns and bridges and I hate that bad taste after a visit to dentist. But it is completely normal. Remember your body just had something added to it that wasn't there before. If you had a cavity there your mouth was "used to" the hole now it's filled up and your brain is like blinking " danger will Robinson " ( I'm a geek ) but there is no danger in a few days your mouth and brain will agree that what ever is different in your mouth is for the better. Nothing will get rid of that taste I'm afraid to say.
My husband struggles with severe anxiety and I have chronic pain. Etc. so I know what you are going through. And my mother was afraid of the dentist she finally went ... And got dentures ( only choice after so many years ) so my sincere advise is this fear is a good thing god gave it to us for a reason. ( did you know that most apes are born with the fear of snakes ? Helps them survive ) but sometimes we have what is called an unreasonable fear and all we have to do is sit back and say ok I'm bothered by this and say ok this will pass and I will feel better soon.
I know from all the times my poor hubbie is bothered by something for some is so small but to him it's the biggest thing ever. Time helps just relax and own the feeling don't try to push it away it gets worse ( I'm speaking from the outside I know) just let it be YOURs then you can find a way past it. I hope that made sense they way I wanted it to.
