I don't think we have talked yet...I believe I was on vactation when you joined here...so hello and welcome!
I understand what you are saying when you explain the struggle for the anxiety not to take over again...and I remember this fear.
As you progress in your journey, you will feel less like the anxiety is its own entity...capable of controling you, or gaining the upper hand...
...and have the experience of recognizing increasing anxiety when it happens...but being able to take the steps necessary to manage it.
I read you are currently in therapy, so you can expect to be making gains and feeling better with time and effort!
Also, do you have a few favorite coping techniques? Are you able to practice them regularly? I find mine mandatory for keeping my anxiety in check.:) (if you need fresh ideas, please see our Resources for great self help material!)
