This is a question that comes up on the forum a lot and everyone has a different perspective on it.
I think most people would say it is best to avoid alcohol whilst taking medication and on most of the drug leaflets that comes with the medication it will give you advice re this subject.
My personal opinion has changed on this recently and I do have the occasional drink but only ever have a few drink 4 is my limit then I stop drinking and as I said this is just occasionally and I have not had any problems and I take 4 different meds.
Medication will definitely have an effect on your alcohol intake and it can cause side effects to be more noticeable such as feeling really tired. I also feel the effects of alcohol a lot quicker which is why I only drink very occasionally and keep it to a max of 4 drinks.
It's also important to remember that alcohol is a depressant so this can also have an impact on how you feel plus it can stop your medication from working properly.
I would suggest you read the leaflet that came with your medication and if that;s not clear ask your doctor.
I try not to worry about
the future -- so I take each day just one anxiety attack at a time.
