I wouldn't say we can be cured of anxiety, as such. After all, it's a natural bodily response to danger.
What can be cured, is the negativity that leads to these problems in the first place. Once we remove ourselves from the fear cycle, we can start getting our lives back to what they were before anxiety got out of control.
Edit: For a decent length of time last year, I was able to live in a manner very similar to what I was like before panic attacks struck. I had to take medication once a day, but that was a very minor addition to my daily routine.
Meds: Sertraline 100mg, Diazepam 2mg as/when required.
