The last three days I have had pain in my ankle when I take the next step. It extends to the top of my foot. It doesn't hurt upon rest, but gosh when I go to walk on it, its terrible. I spoke to some online doctors who told me it can happen in pregnancy ( I am 36 weeks) and that rest and ice can soothe it. BUt now, after a night's sleep I woke up and it is more painful then yesterday!! I AM SO SCARED of bone cancer. I didn't injure my foot or anything and I can't seem to understand why after a night's rest it hasn't calmed down.

My anxiety is through the roof and my husband is away, I don't know what to do. Has anyone experienced anything like this before, please help me!

LMD,

I am sorry you are alone and scared currently
:(

You are going to be fine. I have literally known hundreds of people with various aches and pains, and none of them had anything serious that some rest and ice didn't resolve.

Please do your best to listen to the advice you received. ..

...AND practice the health anxiety self help in the Resources. ..as well as going to the library and checking out some books on the subject as well.

Make it a project. You can go, get the books...making copies of the helpful parts to keep for future reference.

This will keep you distracted, and help fill up your anxiety fighting aresenal.

Thanks Scaredy,

Its just that it came out of nowhere and all of a sudden. I wish it was Monday so I can go to the doctor, I am literally stuck at home in 4 inches of snow (currently snowing) with my daughter who is giving me such a hard time :( all I can think about is bone cancer.

I am so scared.

Hey Luv, nothing is wrong, "think", there is one thing that is different now that changed everything for you, Baby Weight, the small bones in your feet are easyly injured and the additional weight can do that also you may not think so but you walk different now and that can put a strain on your small bones in the foot. "you have had way too many different blood tests and other tests", if such a thing was present they would have found it long ago!
Be thankful Luv, the time of waiting is almost over and you and Daughter will have another Love in your
life! Peace

Thank you Scaredy and Larry! I hope you guys are right. Larry you are so right, I am so lucky I will be getting another angel, I just wish I can enjoy these last days but it keeps getting overshadowed with these terrible symptoms. I really hope this pain goes away, its really bringing me down.

Look up ganglion cyst. Easy to get, easy to cure. And hurts like nothing you've ever felt before.

Do you by any chance wear a lot of stiff boots? This exact feeling happened to me last year. My husband had bought me a pair of ugh style boots to use as slippers because it is so cold in my house. After wearing them for a couple of weeks I started having pain on the top of my feet and also where the arch of my feet is. My ankle hurts a little but too. I couldn't figure out what the problem was for the life of me, but I stopped wearing them for awhile and everything went back to normal. My feet started to feel like that this year too and after I gave myself a break from wearing knee high boots and boot slippers I was fine. It's worth a try!

Thanks Paniccu I wish it was form stiff boots, but I don't wear them. The pain is still there, I am going ot see an ortho today, I do not want an xray (since I am pregnant) so I hope he can diagnose me without one. I am really scared its some tumor chipping away at my bone :(((((
