Actually there kind of is...I often have the same phenomenon. I get through loads of stress...and then the symptoms appear when things have quieted down.
I have heard it referred to as the 'teacup effect'. Think of your self as a cup...and the stressors drip in, one by one. Eventually the cup is going to be full...then overflowing, right?
This is when the major symptoms or the panic often happens...as the accumulative effect happens.
Give yourself a couple of days to get back into your home routine...practice your coping skills and hopefully you'll be feeling better soon.
