Hi AK and welcome back!
Although I am sorry to hear of your current concern. It is really easy to get worried when we hear of tragedy/health issues that hit close to home.
Here is an illustration that really helped me to not identify with every story that came my way.
If a friend, or friend if a friend won the lottery...would you automatically assume you were going to be next? Quit your job...shop for mansions and a yacht...book lavish vacations? Of course not...because that's not likely to happen to you , just because it happened to them...
You see where this is going.;)
Use your positive/rational thinking and mantras...as well as other coping skills to get you through this challenge.
...and I hope you have a joyful and stress free as possible holiday!
Peace and progress,
"Courage is not the abscence of fear, it is feeling afraid and doing it anyway!"
"Worrying does not empty tomorrow of its troubles...it empties today of its strength."
