Hi I.G. and welcome!
First of all. ..congratulations!!!! What an exciting and wonderful destination wedding you have planned! This should be a time of joy and no worries. ..so taking some extra steps in preparation of your trip should really benefit you.
It is great that you are working with your therapist already...and your benzo regimen will be a great tool...
also working specifically on some cognitive skills to combat the what is thoughts? Have you done any CBT in a general sense for your anxiety/panic? If not, I highly recommend it.
You can ask your therapist for worksheets to help you process specific concerns in regards to your travel issues...(or CBT workbooks can be purchased on Amazon)
...as well as checking out our Resources
at the top of the main forum page here. Practicing the suggested exercises daily will make a big difference in how you feel.
I especially find positive mantras/reassuring statements
to be a powerful tool. There is a link specifically on how to work this skill in the guide mentioned above.
With a bit more preparation, and the support of your friends and family...(and us!) you are going to do just fine!
Post with us anytime for anxiety support...we understand, care and are here to listen anytime.
