HI S.K. and welcome!
I am very sorry that you are currently feeling so challenged by the intrusive thoughts and the fears they bring to the surface.:/
You are not alone. ..and rest assured that we have heard many similar stories here, caused by anxiety and it's manifestations.
It is good that you were proactive in getting in to talk to a mental health professional, (and a follow up by your diligent doctor!) so do your best to trust that assessment....
...and keep working you recovery program, while seeking new tools to improve it!
Continuing therapy, especially CBT would be a beneficial goal...as well as working self help for the best, well rounded plan!
In our Resources at the top of the main forum page here we have amazing material that will make a difference of practiced daily. In particular the links for OCD/intrusive thoughts. And the 'Therapy Worksheet Downloads' (thought redirection exercises) should fit your needs.
We understand, care and support is key. ..so keep posting if you find it helpful.
