Our kids learn lots of things from us...some good...some not so great. We are not perfect, and that is a good thing...because our children aren't either, and will need to learn how to problem solve!
this situation, and asking your son questions, about
how you both could possibly feel better about
your worries could be a valuable teaching moment.
Depending on his age, you could also show him some coping skills to help him manage his fears.
Instead of feeling guilty, use this experience as a lesson...for you both. 😉
"Courage is not the abscence of fear, it is feeling afraid and doing it anyway!"
"Worrying does not empty tomorrow of its troubles...it empties today of its strength."
