Having not been through this (yet) myself, I can't add any practical advice...
...but I can certainly understand your anxiety, as I have a medical procedure/doctor phobia.
Use your breathing techniques and Positive Mantras to get you through until they place your sedation...and once that is done, you will be just fine!
