Hi I'm looking for help with side effects. I was started on Zoloft 25mg and took if for 4 days, during this time I was extremely tired falling asleep everywhere, with racing heart, feeling like I had persistent caffeine shakes, and increased anxiety, so I stopped but now 3 days later I'm still feeling side effects and have had some new ones like tinnitus and seeing floaters. Has anyone had experience like this? Is there anyway to manage the side effects I had to call out from work bc I'm feeling so awful?!

Hello and welcome .

I am sorry to hear of your struggles currently. Have you contacted your prescribing doctor for advice? An alternative plan should be discussed, since this med was causing you undue discomfort/complications.

You were on a low dose for a very short time, so it is likely you are just having anxiety symptoms at this point...and practicing some self help from our Resources should help.

Please see the top of the main forum page here for great material to work on in order to lower your overall anxiety levels and symptoms.

Best wishes with finding a management plans that works for you!

Thanks for responding Scaredy Cat I did contact the doctor, the covering doctor said to just wait it out the symptoms should go away after 72 hours, but unfortunately I'm still feeling as if I'm drugged. I was not experiencing any anxiety prior to starting the Zoloft so I do not believe this to be personal anxiety. I will definitely check out the resources here though!

Oh, sorry for assuming!

Was it depression then? You may want to check in with that forum as well if you've not done so already for some recommendations.

Again best to you...and I hope you find the answers and relief you need soon!
