Need some advice, please

Hi, haven't post in here for a while, I need advice in what to do now, I've developed some kind of Chronophobia, and my anxiety issues are still damaging to me, although I might be better than before in the way of my feelings, I still feel troubled by all the thoughts and fears that I carry with me, I'm with a new therapist who seemed well the first five appointments, but the last appointment I felt like if he didn't care at all, and I also want to go back to my old psychiatrist because she seemed to know better about all of this stuff although she just didn't seems as interested with my case as before, but I just want to go back to her, because with my current psychiatrist I feel like if it's just routine, no insight to my actual problems, so please I need advice, because I don't even know how to tell about it to my parents, and they get a little angry when I ask them about this, I know the money they put on it, but if I don't feel ok, shouldn't I tell them? So please give me advice I beg you.

My psychiatrist sees me for about 20 minutes.

In the old days, they would see you for an hour, and give meds if needed.

Now, they see you from just a short time, and just give you a medicine check mostly.

So you might want to get your meds, if any, from a psychiatrist, and see a therapist for longer talk time.

Your parent's don't know if you're in therapy? Aer they paying for it? Do you have to tell them to get them to pay for it?

Can you tell your mom, if you feel that's OK?

Hi Siqnik and welcome back!

Although I am sorry to hear of the current does sound like you have made some good strides forward as well...and for that I am happy for you. smile

I think it is great that you see the need for improvement in your care...and if your therapist continues to seem indifferent (give him another chance, it could have just been an off day!) then I would definitely bring it up to your parents regarding seeking a change.

They may seem to get angry...but you could be misinterpreting their mood, which could simply be frustration at a situation they don't fully understand...or feel they have control over. (it's tough for parents to see their kids go through tough times...and sometimes we act weird because we don't know how to process our feelings well)

Be sure you are doing all you can with your own self help practices daily...
