I am so happy to hear that you had your intake session, and that you like your therapist...this is GREAT news!! You are going to do so well.
As far as outlets go...it sounds like you would do well to find a few that you and your son can enjoy together...
...and one or two activities, just for you.
The time spent together will be good for both of you. You could get some coloring books. They have great ones now for kids of all ages! ;) Other projects could be making home made playdough...playing with tactile material is a great stress reliever! Or, you could look for a mom and me workout video, or class...like a Movement/Music Together...?
For yourself, yes...the massages are great! And for more of an everyday activity, you could start a journal if you don't already keep one...
...and walking/exercise is a huge stress buster. If the weather does not permit you going for a walk...look for a video that peaks your interest. Dance, kickboxing, body sculpting, yoga...the choices are pretty endless.
Wishing you the best on your ongoing management plan! Hugs, high fives and keep us updated, okay?
