Is it normal to feel some sort of tension in your neck or some back discomfort I've read online how it's normal but I'm not sure how long it'll last? It normally happens when I'm feeling my ancxiry starts to rise.
Any opinions or commentary on if anyone else feels this way?

Hello TOCA and welcome!

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing anxiety and discomfort.

Yes it is very common to hold tension in the neck and back due to feeling anxious/stressed.

Please see our Resources at the top of the main forum page here for great self help material to work with. In the 'Stress Relieving Exercises' link you find directions on Progressive Muscle Relaxation. Practicing this daily will help.

Post with us anytime for support and encouragement!

My neck and back pain are awful. Anxiety does increase this. Massage and exercise are helpful. I haven't been so good about my exercise for a bit now and I notice that every time I do, I get some relief from that muscle pain.

Hi

Welcome to the forum you will find good support here from others who can relate to what your going through.

Neck pain is one of my main symptoms and I like to use mindfulness which I find helps relax me and reduce the pain.
