I have the anxiety condition for awhile already. I don't really like having it. I was wondering if anyone knows what causes this condition. Thanks.

Hi AG,

A lot of debate about this has centered around the nature vs. nurture question...

...and I personally think it is a mix of both.

I believe that there is a predisposition physically that causes an imbalance of brain chemistry. (by either producing too many stress hormones, or too little of the feel good/calming neurotransmitters)

However, our environment and past as well as present situations in which we live also contribute.

Like any Chronic Illness, I believe that a combination of lifetstyle habits and medication are a good management plan for most people. Therapy/self help and an Rx when indicated can be a winning combo in many cases.

I know that it is a difficult thing to face...and though there are many challenges that go along with anxiety...in time and with continued effort, you will find your best management choices...and enjoy a good recovery from the majority of your issues.

Stay encouraged and keep working towards your goals!

AG,

Yes, hormones are really troublesome...I hear ya on that!

Wishing you an easy week...take care of yourself body and mind.

Good nutrition, rest, exercise and coping skills will help. smile

Probiotics can help...to boost your immune system and get the most out of your nutrition/digestion...

...also, exercise is key! Are you able to be active and get in regular workouts?

Walking is a great exercise!

Make it a goal to increase your distance and speed over time! It really is a great tool for anxiety management.

It's all about finding the right combination of tools...

...meds, self help, therapy, exercise, healthy lifestyle/habits...but exercise certainly factors in!

You'll get there.☺
