Okay, good to know that you are using your PPI as needed for the reflux. GERD and anxiety often go hand in hand. It is believed that stress causes stomach acid to rise. This of course brings on physical symptoms, which can cause some people to be challenged with health anxiety. So treating the two issues together will be your best course.
Globus is a sensation that there is something caught or stuck in one's throat, and can certainly give the feeling of the airway closing...causing the sensation of not being able to breathe. This was one of the very first anxiety symptoms that I ever had, so I understand.
