I know we don't know each other personally...however, I feel like I do know you (and our long time members) in a long distance kind of way...
...and one thing that you could never be accused of is not doing enough for you family!!!
In fact, on the contrary...I have often advised you to do more for yourself...and let your family take some of the work load upon themselves!
I am not sure what your mother meant, or why she would say this about
you...but remember, everyone has their own filters, and some are bitter, disillusioned or never satisfied for various reasons.
We can't control what others think or say about
us, but we can absolutely control our reaction to them. I think you should choose to know with confidence that you DID do more than enough (and still are, btw!) and that your mom had a faulty filter when it came to how she viewed your actions.
