Hello AnRose and welcome!
I moved your post to its own thread (from the Weekly Check-in) so you could get more responses and welcomes!
I have certainly had your experience of waking up with panic symptoms...not a great way to start the day. :/ One reason for this is often Cortisol...a stress hormone that is at its highest level in the body upon awakening.
Use of coping skills first thing in the morning can help...so be sure and see our Resources at the top of the main forum page here for great material to get started on.
I am glad to hear you are working with your doctor for help and your Rx...and also looking into getting into therapy. The use of these two tools together is a winning one for many people.
Add also self help, and you have a powerful combination of management tools on your side!
Talking with others who understand and care is the final piece...so keep posting...support is key!
